Why we didn't use Utopia (Atoll K)... (Other titles not used)

Laurel and Hardy return for their final movie (1951). Both appear at times to be visibly ill (the completion of the movie was delayed so that Stan Laurel could have an operation - he fully recovered, living another 15 years).

This is a truly awful movie to watch at times. Stan and Ollie are doing their old routine, but their elderly frames makes the physical comedy difficult to watch (such as when an islander smashes a tray onto the head of, by this time, the massively overweight Oliver Hardy).

There was nothing in this movie we thought we could make into a clip which wouldn't give Laurel and Hardy fans nightmares.

Watch Flying Deuces to see them at their innovative funniest. It's a depressing end to two of the great pioneers of early comedy.
