Why we didn't use His Private Secretary... (Other titles not used)

The novelty with this public domain movie is that John Wayne plays it for laughs. He does a very good job of it too.

Wayne plays Dick Wallace the playboy son of a successful businessman. But his Dad (played by Reginald Barlow, below) wants him to settle down so gives him a job (starting at 9am the next morning). But on his first day Dick falls for a secretary, Marion.

Marion marries Wallace, and then becomes his father's secretary (but his father doesn't know who she is, but likes her...).

This is a nice light drama with some pleasant moments. Nothing to make you roll about on the floor laughing though which is why we didn't include a clip.
