Tillie's Punctured Romance, starring Charlie Chaplin and the Keystone Cops (1914)

Tillie BanksThis movie is heralded as the first feature length comedy ever made. It is the story of a big girl, Tillie, who leaves her ass-kicking father to go to the big city with Charlie. When the couple get there they stumble upon one of Charlies ex-flames... slapstick hilarity and, it has to be said for our times, some out-and-out punch-in-the-face violence...

We've made three clips with the best of the slapstick comedy.
