believes these radio shows are in the public domain. Copyright for
recordings, radio and television shows in the United Kingdom are
relatively easy to determine if you know the date of either the
recording or broadcast. The rule is that after 50 years any such
recording falls into the public domain on the year following the
50th year anniversary. In this case the show was broadcast in January
1956, so at the latest it fell into the public domain on 1st January
2007. This does not extend to the scripts, just the recording -
the link to the script is to another site.
